The Kylie Cosmetics Summer Collection is finally here and it’s better than we could have imagined! The 2020 Summer Collection by Kylie Cosmetics has a nautical theme along with a pin-up girl inspired sailor.
The packaging on these collections just gets more and more impressive each time a new line is launched. The nautical theme runs throughout the packaging and the products themselves, everything sporting red, white and blue – no attention to detail has been spared.
As usual Kylie shared a sneak peek of the entire collection on her Instagram Stories, with Stormi helping open the box (so cute!).
Kylie even shared footage of the photoshoot for the collection which shows her dressed up as the pin-up sailor girl on the packaging and wearing the collection. Kylie’s makeup artist applied two of the products to Kylie’s eyes whilst she filmed so we got a closeup of how incredible they actually are!
SO WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE KYLIE COSMETICS SUMMER COLLECTION?
Like always Kylie has included some of our fave products, a lip kit, eyeshadow palette and high gloss and then some Kylie Cosmetics newbies. The newbies are two shadow sticks and a pair of eyelashes!
Yup, Kylie’s first set of eyelashes and wow they are gorgeous!
In keeping with the theme, all of the products have a nautical inspired name, the lashes being ‘Shady’. The strip lashes have been designed to extend the lashes and lift the shape of the eye. Kylie shared that she’d also had a little input from Ariel when designing these – they’ve done an incredible job.
There are two shadow sticks to choose from (or to buy both of), one in a gold shade called ‘Sandy Cheeks’ and the other a bronze shade called ‘Rock The Boat’. Kylie demonstrated these on an arm on her Instagram Stories and the application was really smooth, leaving a super pigmented finish too. Ariel also applied this to Kylie during filming and went in with a gold pressed eyeshadow on top which just created the perfect finish.
A new collection wouldn’t be complete without a signature Kylie Lip Kit, would it? And Kylie hasn’t disappointed with ‘Kiss Me, Sailor’, a beautiful matte nude shade.
The Sailor Palette is made up of 16 gorgeous shades, a mixture of warm and cool tones and a general theme of blue, red and gold. As always there are matte and shimmer shades so its another perfect day-to-night palette to take us through the rest of the summer.
Private Island is the name of the latest High Gloss to be added to the Kylie Cosmetics family. A cherry red shade which although looks rather pigmented in the packaging, is pretty sheer when applied to the skin, as Kylie demonstrated on her Stories. It’s the perfect colour to wear on the lips alone, or over a deeper pink/red shade to add a gloss finish.
