One of the most anticipated beauty launches of the year, the Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2024 is finally here—and let me just say, it’s absolutely stunning. Luxurious, thoughtfully curated, and packed with some of the most sought-after names in skincare, fragrance, and makeup, this calendar might just be the best one yet.
Retailing at £250, this year’s edition contains products worth a jaw-dropping £1,599.93—a seriously impressive value. Whether you’re a beauty addict (like me) or looking to treat yourself (or someone else) to a lavish pre-Christmas countdown, this calendar ticks all the boxes.
First Impressions
The presentation is everything you'd expect from Harrods—elegant, festive, and high-end. The box features the iconic Harrods store facade in its signature green, and opens like a wardrobe, revealing 25 beautiful drawers tied with ribbons.
Despite being the same price as previous years, the value has jumped by £400 from 2023. For beauty lovers who crave skincare luxury, this calendar is a dream come true. Harrods have also said that this year they are offering more than ever with top-tier skincare haircare and makeup heroes - so this calendar is lining up to be one of the best!

This is a cult-favourite radiance-boosting mask from Swiss luxury skincare brand Valmont. Made with only 12 ingredients, the Bioeffect EGF Power Serum is clean, effective, and highly concentrated. Probably my fave serum ever!

The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Oil is infused with a trio of seaweeds: Padina Pavonica, Golden Seaweed, and Roaring Water Kelp. It nourishes, hydrates, and plumps the skin, helping to smooth fine lines and give a youthful glow.

The full-size blush drop in "Apricot Sorbet," (worth £39) provides a dewy, radiant flush with a creamy texture. A gorgeous warm peachy shade perfect for summer, it's buildable and adds a pop to the cheeks! Paired with a mini champagne-toned liquid highlighter for the ultimate glowing complexion duo.
💧Day 13 – Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner (50ml) – ~£9
A light facial toner to help condition and prep the skin, packed with aloe vera, lavender, and balm mint. The Multi Active Toner from Dermalogica is ideal for prepping skin before serums or giving a hydration boost throughout the day. Alcohol-free and soothing.
🧵 Day 14 – La Mer The Lip Volumizer (7ml) – £72
La Mer's Lip Volumizer is a luxe lip serum-gloss hybrid that plumps, softens, and adds shine. It has a subtle pink tint with a high-gloss finish and a cooling, minty scent. Hydrating and luxurious - a gorg find in a calendar!
🌳 Day 15 – Byredo Mumbai Noise Eau de Parfum (2ml) – ~£6
Mumbai Noise by Byredo is a bold, unisex fragrance with notes of tonka bean, sandalwood, coffee, and oud. Rich, spicy, and ideal for winter wear. A sophisticated scent from a cult niche perfume house. Unfortunately, it does say 'Gift not for sale' on the bottom of the packaging which is disappointing when the value of the product is included in the value of the calendar you're paying for.
🌑 Day 16 – Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream (50ml) – £85
The Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream is a hydrating night cream that combines fast-acting and time-released retinoids to smooth wrinkles, boost radiance, and firm skin overnight. The packaging makes it super easy to dispense the same amount of product each time and it's gentle enough for daily use and ideal for mature or dry skin types.
🌿 Day 17 – Orveda Omnipotent Concentrate (10ml) – ~£150
A biotech-powered serum with adenosine and saccharomyces to restore skin cell function, promote glow, and improve resilience. The Orveda Omnipotent Concentrate targets ageing and environmental stress and works to restore the skin's barrier. Gorgeous botanical-inspired packaging.
Day 18 – Eve Lom Foaming Cream Cleanser (50ml) – ~£20
A gentle, creamy cleanser that transforms into a rich lather. Eve Lom's Foaming Cream Cleanser removes makeup and impurities while maintaining hydration. It's mildly scented (not my fave scent!), and designed more for dry or balanced skin.
⛨️ Day 19 – Evidens de Beauté The Total Shield SPF50 (30ml) – £95
A clear, non-greasy SPF that protects against UV rays and pollution. Has a matte finish and creates an impenetrable veil above skincare treatments. The Total Shield works well under makeup and it's infused with anti-aging ingredients for all-day protection.
👄 Day 20 – Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Pillow Talk (Full Size) – £21
Pillow Talk is an iconic nude-pink lip liner that suits every skin tone. It's creamy, long-lasting, and ideal for overlining lips or pairing with any lipstick.
👁️🔮 Day 21 – Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara (5g) – £16
Hourglass Unlocked is a tubing mascara that creates long, fluttery lashes without smudging or flaking. It has a silicone wand which tapers to make application super easy. It's also vegan, cruelty-free, and removes easily with warm water.
💇 Day 22 – Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream (20ml) – £55
Dr Barbara Sturm's Face Cream is a calming, deeply hydrating cream that reduces inflammation and strengthens the skin barrier. It has a lightweight but nourishing texture which makes it suitable for morning or night.
💫 Day 23 – Augustinus Bader Retinol Serum (15ml) – £45
The perfect addition to a luxury Advent Calendar, the Augustinus Bader The Retinol Serum (not the Rich Cream for a change!) is a luxurious serum combining retinol with TFC8® technology to reduce wrinkles, refine pores, and improve skin tone. A high-performance anti-ageing solution. Gorgeous!
🌺🌆Day 24 – Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil (55ml) – £58
The Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil is an energizing essential oil blend with grapefruit, rosemary, and juniper. It can be used in the bath or massaged into skin pre-shower. It has a spa-like scent perfect for a Christmas Eve reset.
🎄💄Day 25 – Tom Ford Lip Colour Matte in Shade 100 (Full Size) – £49
A stunning nude matte lipstick in luxe packaging. The Tom Ford Lip Colour in shade 100 is creamy, non-drying, and universally flattering—a perfect Christmassy treat and a great everyday colour. It looks as though it would work perfectly with the Charlotte Tilbury lip liner from Day 20.
Final Thoughts
What an incredible calendar! This calendar is a skincare lover's dream, especially for those focused on anti-aging, hydration, and luxury treatments. You’re getting full-size products from top-tier brands like La Mer, Murad, Elemis, Augustinus Bader, and Valmont—all for just £250.
The value of the Harrods Advent Calendar 2024 is definitely one of the highest ones on the market this year with £1,599 worth of products. There's a nice mix of skincare, fragrance and makeup, in gorgeous packaging which is reusable as either an Advent Calendar or storage.
However, this might not be the calendar for you if you prefer more makeup than skincare, or if you're not into anti-ageing products.
